Jean Lacey

Marian Jean Lacey, age 93, of Lancaster, OH passed away peacefully on May 20, 2022. She was born May 7, 1929, in Bremen, Oh to the late Louis and Hazel Kitz. She married the love of her life Edward Lacey on Christmas Day 1952 in Bremen. She was a retired Registered Nurse from Lancaster/Fairfield Medical center and a proud graduate of Grant Hospital School of Nursing. She was a lover of Jesus; member of Fairfield Christian Church and loved her Sunday School “family”. She was preceded in death by her parents, sister Ann (Max) Collins, husband, daughter Susan St. Amand and her two beloved bassets Ellie and Elliot. She is survived by her brother John (Patty) Kitz daughter Nancy (Mike) Lafferty, son-in-law Mike St. Amand, son Tom (Kim) Lacey. Grandchildren John and Katie Anne Lafferty, Jessie, Tom, Sarah and Peter St. Amand, Kate (David) Ritchie, Emmie (Stefan) Haase, Ike (Sami) Lacey. Great-Grandsons Solomon, Samuel, Simon Peter Ritchie and Ezekiel and Elijah Lacey. And beloved niece Janie Meng and her daughter Sam. The funeral will be held at Halteman-Fett and Dyer funeral home, Friday May 27. Service is at 1 pm with visitation one hour prior at 436 N. Broad St. Lancaster, OH. Burial to follow at Grandview Cemetery, Bremen OH. The family would like to thank Home Helpers Home Care of Lancaster; the caregivers and staff at Carroll Place, Carroll OH, and Fairhope Hospice for their loving and devoted care of our Mother.
