James R Eden Sr.

James R. Eden Sr., 75, of Lancaster, passed away on Saturday, February 9, 2013 at his residence. He was born January 21, 1938 in Lancaster, Ohio to the late Walter A. and Millie (Minerva) Eden. Jim served in the U.S. Army (Armored Div.) during the Korean War. He was a local Barber for many years in Lancaster.

Jim was preceded in death by parents, brother and sister-in-law, Jack and Lena Groff, brother, Harold Groff, sisters, Jill Marie Eden and Virginia Bates, brother-in-law, Tom Bates.

He is survived by his wife, Judy K. (Mason) Eden, son, James R. Eden Jr., sister-in-law, Freda Groff, stepmother, Bertha Mae Eden, step sisters, Janis Shumaker and Joan Coakley, step brother, Robert Wolfley, several nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be held 1:00 pm Wednesday, February 13, 2013 at HALTEMAN-FETT & DYER FUNERAL HOME with Rev. Harold Sturm officiating. Burial will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery where the Lancaster Burial Detail will perform military graveside services. Friends may call 2-4 and 6-8 Tuesday.
