Dorothy L. Poling, 92 of Lancaster, passed away Sunday November 26, 2023 at her residence. Dorothy was a member of the Lancaster United Brethren Church, where she enjoyed singing in the choir, served on many different committees along with her husband Paul and worked for many years on the Church “Barn Sale”. She was a Girl Scout Leader, enjoyed working in her flower gardens and enjoyed watching golf on TV. Dorothy made many quilts which she gave to family, friends and people in need. She is survived by daughters and sons-in-law, Paula and Larry Swartz, Sue Ellen and Vernon Lines; 3 grandsons, Keith (Hollie) Swartz, Jason (Pam) Swartz and Shawn Lines; 6 great grandchildren, Joey and Matt Swartz, Liam and Kathren Swartz, Tyler and Noah Lines; sister, Grace (Leo) Rice; Many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband, Paul, 2 brothers, 3sisters and one infant sister. Funeral Service will be held 11:00 AM Thursday, November 30, 2023 at Halteman-Fett & Dyer Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Carroll Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 2-4PM and 6-8PM at funeral home.
