Lord Donovan Scott Cochran, born on July 26, 2000, in Lancaster, Ohio, passed away on October 04,2024 at the age of 24. A Lancaster High School graduate, Donovan was a beloved son, brother, nephew grandson and friend. He had a profound connection with the outdoors and a passionate love for his country.
Though a childhood illness prevented him from fulfilling his dream of becoming a Navy SEAL, Donovan's dedication to his country remained unwavering. He found joy and camaraderie working at Pizza Crossing, where he was beloved by colleagues and customers alike for his friendly and open nature.
His hobbies included hunting, fishing, painting, and attending NASCAR races. Donovan was also an avid gamer and enjoyed spending quality time with his brothers and close friends. He often stated his philosophy “Don’t make opinions about someone based on someone else’s experience with them, make opinions from your own experience with the person.” that opinions of others should be formed based on personal experiences rather than second-hand stories, a testament to his thoughtful and introspective nature.
Donovan is survived by his mother, Janelle Cochran; brothers Koston Speakman, Torin Speakman, Karsten Stemble, and Lleyton Stemble; aunts and uncles Chelsia and Jason Hiles, Ryan Cochran, and Uncle Tucker(Adam); Uncle Pug (Patrick Starkey) and cousins Josh and JT Starkey; and his cherished grandmother Deanna Cochran and grandfather Charles Cochran. His great-grandmother Virginia Starkey, numerous great-aunts, great-uncles, second cousins, and the extended Speakman family, Bobbi Spofford, Sarah Haley who played significant roles in his upbringing. Donovan's deep connections extended to his dear friends Nick Spofford, James Barnhart, Jacob Adkins, Collin Austin, Orion Colon, Tyler Stumph, Tyler Johnson, Tony Curry, and many more, who formed a brotherhood that his family deeply appreciates.
He was preceded in death by his great-grandparents Raymond and Pauline Irwin, great-grandpa John Starkey, and his dear friend Chase Haley.
Donovan's life was a testament to the power of community, friendship, and family. His legacy of kindness, creativity, and loyalty will continue to inspire those who knew him.
Funeral Services will be held on Friday, October 11, 2024 at 11AM at the HALTEMAN-FETT & DYER FUNERAL HOME. Burial is to follow at Crawfis-Emery Cemetery in Lancaster. Visitation will take place on Thursday from 2PM-4PM & 6PM-8PM at the funeral home.
