Darrell Jude Ball, 59 of Stoustville passed away on Wednesday, October 9th, 2024. Darrell was born April 3rd, 1965 in Meadville, Pennsylvania to the late Carl E. Ball and Eleanor E. Kaye. He had worked for the Fairfield County Sheriff’s Office and later retired as the Chief of Police in Thornville, serving over 30 years in law enforcement. Darrell had a love for classic cars and enjoyed spending time with family and friends. He was a passionate Miami Dolphins fan. Darrell was known for his story telling and sense of humor.
Darrell is survived by his children, Travis Ball, Jared Ball, Daniel Ball; grandchildren, Mason Ball, Kendall Ball; brother, David Ball; sisters, Deborah Simon and Eileen Cardicci; as well as many nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his father, Carl Edward Ball; mother, Eleanor Eileen Kaye; and sister, Delphine Gleckner.
A visitation for Darrell will be held Wednesday, October 16, 2024 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Halteman-Fett & Dyer Funeral Home, 436 N Broad St, Lancaster, Ohio 43130.
