She was born on March 3, 1943 the daughter of Dick and Jan Sturges. She left us on October 19, 2018 a beloved Wife, Mom, Grandma, Gigi, sister, auntie and friend to so many. She was the root of our family tree. She created so many memories for those she leaves behind, such an amazing gift - one we will pass on to honor her.
In 1963 she married her honey, Bradley. Together they raised three daughters. With her children raised, she went on to start a career that she loved. She worked as Security at Littlerock High School for 20 years. She loved "her kids" and they loved her right back.
She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, who have supported her and her family with such grace throughout all of her life. We are truly grateful.
She leaves to cherish her memory and honor her life, her husband, Bradley, her daughters, Dena, Diann (David), and Sherri (Damon). Her grandchildren, Amanda, Jessica (Frankie), Dahlia, Tashel, Joseph, Keith, Cameron, Sandra, Alicia, Junior, Angel and Tomy. She was preceded in death by her grandson, Diego. Her great-grandchilren, Jenette, Johari, Ezra, Leon, Bentley, Halie, Marilynn, Anthony, Andrew, Alyssa, Aiden, and Julian. Five sisters, Beth (Bob), Margo, Ricki, Danette and Michelle "Patti". Two brothers preceded her in death, Daniel "Dickey" and Kurt. She also leaves a host of neices, nephews and friends, too many to list. You know she loved you - she was never afraid to show it or make sure you knew it.
How do you say goodbye to your Wife, your Mother, your Grandma, your Gigi ... you don't. She didn't say goodbye. She said I love you so if that was the last time you spoke with her the last she would say is I love you. The void you leave is endless but filled with memories that we will talk about, share and pass on. An amazing life we were blessed to share in. Thank you God for that. Please take her into your arms and welcome her home. One can only imagine the smile on her face when she was greeted by her Mom and Dad, her Grandson Diego, her great grandsons and her baby brother Dickey.
A celebration of life service will be held on Friday, October 26th at 2:00PM at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Lake Los Angeles, 41735 170th Street East, Lancaster CA. 93535. Please take a moment to visit and sign her memorial page at joshuamortuary.com.
Should family or friends desire, contributions may be sent to Bradley McConnell, 15730 E. Ave Q-4, Palmdale CA. 93591 in lieu of flowers.
