Domingo Miranda, a cherished father, brother, uncle, grandfather, great-grandfather, and beloved friend to many, passed away peacefully on April 21, 2024. Domingo's journey began in Puerto Rico, where he embarked on adventures that led him to New York City, Connecticut, and finally settled in Southern California, finding his homes in Compton and Long Beach.
A dedicated and hardworking man, Domingo spent many years at Dolly Madison Bakery, where his commitment and work ethic inspired those around him. After retiring, he sought solace in the tranquil surroundings of California City, CA. Where he embraced off-the-grid living and rejoiced in the beauty of nature. Domingo's mornings were a testament to his love for the outdoors, as he would eagerly step outside to enhance the natural splendor of his surroundings.
Known for his warm personality and infectious joy, Domingo touched the lives of all who had the pleasure of meeting him. His passion for dancing, gardening, and cherishing the company of others illuminated every room he entered. Domingo's industrious spirit led him to take on various small jobs to stay active, as he found true contentment in the vibrant world outside his door.
Domingo was a pillar of strength and kindness, embodying the values of service and camaraderie that defined his life. The Sons of American Legion Post 476 held a special place in his heart, serving as his second home where he found solace and companionship among his fellow members. Each day, without fail, he would make his way to the Legion after a long day of hard work, a schedule he meticulously crafted for himself. It was there, surrounded by his brothers, sisters, and friends, that he found true contentment and belonging.
A man of action and dedication, Domingo escaped idle moments at home, preferring the vibrant atmosphere of the Legion where he shared laughter, stories, and camaraderie with those he held dear. His commitment to the Legion and its mission was unwavering, a testament to his unwavering loyalty and love for his community.
Domingo leaves behind a legacy of love and laughter in his large and loving family, Brother to Paul Grajales, Uncle to Nikkole Grajales, Jenifer Grajales and Ryan Grajales, His children Maria Miranda, Lucy Stephens, beloved Domingo Miranda Jr, Eric (Eddie) Miranda, Jesus Miranda, Cindy Nelson and Marshawn Fraiser, His grandchildren, Darrick Miranda, Dishon Boston, Rhea Miranda, Antonio Miranda, Alijah Miranda, Alonzo Miranda, Heaven Scott, beloved Harmony Miranda, beloved Aisiah Miranda, Domingo Miranda III, Lavinia Miranda, Charles Stephens, Erica Miranda, Eric Miranda, Devin Miranda, Elias Miranda and Elynd Miranda. Great-grandchildren Sa’Mirah Evans, Takiyah Newman, Mariah Miranda, Ka’mirah Miranda, Rome Miranda, Sage Miranda, Cyncere Stephens and Ke’Lyilah Ward. His absence will be deeply felt by all who knew him, as his presence brought light and happiness to countless lives.
As we bid farewell to Domingo Miranda, we hold onto the memories of his kindness, his zest for life, and the love he shared with everyone around him.
