Caleb Daniel Simpson
July 31, 1996 - Jan. 28, 2012
Caleb Daniel Simpson died in a skateboard accident living life to the fullest as he always did on January 28, 2012. Caleb was born July 31, 1996, as a beautiful vibrant boy.
Caleb loved helping people anyway he could. His final gift was his organs that were donated to save the lives of others. His parents knew that their young baby boy would grown up to be a one of a kind child. His aunt Debbie described him this way: Caleb was an All-American boy - blond hair, green eyed, honor student, stud athlete, God serving, big hearted and fun loving, who in his father's words, “Never got to grow old.” Yet his parents and his large extended family were able to thank God for giving them Caleb for 15 1/2 years.
Caleb's smile and laughter brightened up the world and he smiled all the time. He was friendly with everyone he met; he could talk to adults, his peers and young children. He knew no strangers, everyone became a friend. He and his seventeen year old sister, Connor were best friends. He loved to talk but he also was a great listener. He was passionate about everything he did, from working in the garage with his grandpa to most sports, games and out door activities such as fishing, camping, hunting and the beach.
He excelled in everything he did and did more living in 15 1/2 years than most people do in a life time. Caleb has been playing chess with his grandpa since he was a very young boy. And he would say. “Grandpa, don't let me win.” Grandpa never did let him win, but the last two games they played together Caleb beat him. Caleb loved everyone with his whole heart and in turn is loved deeply by his family and friends. In his short life he touched many and he will live on in our hearts until we meet again in heaven.
Caleb is survived by his parents, Dan and Meg Simpson; his sister Connor; his grandfather, Ron Simpson and his grandmothers,; Pat Simpson and Tiffiny Simpson. He has a huge, loving extended family of aunts, uncles and cousins. Because of Caleb's love of playing football for Paraclete High School the family is requesting in lieu of flowers that money be donated to Paraclete High School and in the memo section put Caleb Simpson. We want to thank everyone for their outpouring of love and support for the family.
