Rev. Dr. Henry L. Ford Sr.

The Rev. Dr. Henry Lee Ford, Sr., pastor of the Greater Saint Paul Missionary Baptist Church, 1220 Highway 3 in La Marque, Texas went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday April 11, 2012 at the age of 74. Pastor Ford was born June 22, 1937 in Minden, Louisiana to the late Otis Ford, Sr. and Vinie Lee Preston Ford. Pastor Ford pastored two churches before founding the Greater St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church in October 1996. He received his formal education in Louisiana was received three degrees from Conroe Normal & Industrial College. Pastor Ford worked for the U.S. Postal Service for over 30 years and was a U.S. Army veteran. Pastor Ford is survived by his loving, devoted and dedicated wife of 56 years, Minister Joyce M. Ford; his children, Leon Darrell Ford, Charlene Joyce Ford, Henry Lee Ford, Jr., Frances Jean Ford and Myritha Joyce Ford-Cleveland (Chad); grandsons, Leonard Darnell Ford, Damien Lee Cleveland and Devron Daequon Cleveland; sisters and brothers, Mary Walton, Rev. Gertrude Franklin (David), Minister Mattie Preston, Rev. Dr. Bruce W. Ford (Brenda) and Rev. Johnny B. Ford (Gloria); sisters-in-law, Hazel Ford, Jean Henderson, Minister Clara Britton, Minister Sealy Davis and Zendall Vann; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, friend and his devoted Greater St. Paul church family.
