Sarah E. Henry

Sarah (Lin) was born on November 19, 1920 in the St. Ann Parish of Jamaica, and she was the daughter of the late Rebecca (Folkes) and Zachariah Hall. She immigrated to the United States in 1967, and Sarah had been a greater Ocean County area resident for the last 48 years. Sarah was a former quality control factory worker for Wheaton Plastic in Lakewood, and she was a devoted homemaker to her family as well. She loved to cook, read and complete word searches. Sarah also gave to her community by delivering food to those who were ill or shut-in.

Sarah was predeceased by her siblings, and she was the mother of the late Elaine Campbell (Kelly). She is survived by her beloved husband Wilfred G. Henry; four children, Trevor Henry and his wife Annmarie, Auston “Milton” Henry and his wife Lorna, Sharon Christopher and her husband George, and Carey Kelly and her husband Edward; and many grand and great grandchildren.

A private visitation and service will be held under the direction of D’Elia Funeral Home, 1300 Vermont Ave., Lakewood, NJ 08701. She will be laid to rest in the Greenwood Cemetery, Lakewood, NJ.
