Ruth Virginia Dey, age 90, of Lakewood, NJ, passed away on Thursday, October 16, 2014 at home. She was born in Elizabeth, NJ on September 2, 1924, and was the daughter of the late Myrtle and August Moschberger. She was raised in Rahway, NJ and also resided in Virgina and Beachwood, NJ, before moving to the Original Leisure Village section of Lakewood in 1997. Ruth worked for Prudential early in her life, before transitioning in to her role as homemaker for her family. Ruth also enjoyed collecting dolls. Wife of the late William W. Dey, she is survived by a son, Thomas W. Dey and Halina of Carteret, NJ; a daughter Virginia Robertson and Donald of Stoneville, NC; a sister, Grace Koczon of Brick, NJ; 4 grandchildren, Catherine, Steven, Heather and Michael; and 2 great-grandchildren, John and Ethan. Visitation will be 3 to 5 & 7 to 9 p.m. on Wednesday, October 22, 2014 at the D’Elia Funeral Home, 1300 Vermont Ave., Lakewood, NJ 08701. Her funeral service will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday, October 23, 2014 at the BG William C. Doyle NJ Veterans Cemetery, 350 Provinceline Rd., Wrightstown, NJ 08562.
