Born in Glasgow, Scotland, he immigrated to the United States at the age of 18. He lived in Stirling before settling in Lakewood 3 years ago.
Prior to retiring in 2002, he worked as an Estimator for Mikropul in Summit for 27 years. Pat was an avid golfer and also enjoyed fishing and bowling. He played the drums in a bagpipe band and was a big fan of the Celtic soccer team. He was also an enthusiastic photographer and videographer, capturing moments of the entire family at every event and celebration.
Pat was predeceased by his brother David in 1987.
Surviving is his loving wife of 43 years, Kathleen; 2 daughters: Kristine Gaffney and her husband Kenneth; Mary Gaffney and her husband Darren; 4 grandchildren: Olivia, Jillian, Kiera & Finnegan; a brother, James Young and his wife May; a sister, Mary Flanagan; and many nieces, nephews and cousins both in the US and Scotland.
