Honoring your memory on your birthday, Apr 6. Remembering the good times we had as friends discovering our African spirituality together and then as mothers of 2 boys born only months apart who became life-long best friends from birth.  We raised our boys together for a short time when I moved into your building on N. Arlington Ave. I live just upstairs from you and your family. We saw each other daily. This photo is from my son's birthday party in that apartment upstairs from you. 

Like what often happens, life and time drifted us apart. Regardless, I always kept our friendship in my heart. I'll see you on the other side when that time comes. We are going to have fun catching up and having a good time like the old days.

To my dearest best friend.
I remember when we first met, it was in biology class during our sophomore year of high school. This is  when we first laid eyes on each other, and we became the best of friends. We were more then just friends, we were like sisters then up until now. Pam you will be greatly missed. My heart is going through so many emotions because I will miss so many wonderful things about you. I will miss your bright smile, your sense of humor, your fearfulness and your strong personality, but most of all your big sweet kind heart. Even when you were fiery you always still had a sweet kind heart. Pam we became friends in life even in death you will always remain my best friend . My heart is heavy and sad because your presence is no more, but my heart is also happy because your suffering is all gone. Through your journey of your illness you were strong just trying to hold on. You fought a great fight now, you don’t have to battle no more. Rest In Peace my bestie for I know in my heart we will see each other again some day.
