Maria Lopez

Maria Lopez, “Guicha”, age 86, of Lakewood, New Jersey passed away on Thursday, May 19, 2022 with her family by her side. Maria was born July 7, 1935 to the late Pepe & Placida Viera in Lares, Puerto Rico. Beloved wife of the late Alfredo Lopez.

Maria is survived by her loving family including her dearest children; Ermes Lopez (Bexida), Jose Lopez, Hector Lopez, Anna McLaughlin (John), Zahira Hervey (Frank), Sandra Doheny (Bill), Mary Ramos (Manuel Ortiz) & Jose Rodriguez (Marianne). Her cherished sister Aida Viera.

Maria was preceded in death by her parents, her son; Alfredo Lopez Jr, her daughter; Nancy Donahue and her siblings Enrique & Pepe Viera, her grandson; Jason Rodrigues- Santiago & granddaughter Julianna Wood.

Maria’s greatest love in life was her 22 Grandchildren. Maria was blessed with the incredible gift of 26 great grandchildren. Maria devoted her entire life to her family and was loved by so many. Her memory will live on through her cherished family and the legacy she created.

A visitation for Maria will be held on Thrusday, May 26th, 2022 from 2:00pm – 4:00pm & 7:00pm – 9:00pm at D’Elia Funeral Home located at 1300 Vermont Ave, Lakewood, NJ. A funeral Mass will occur Friday May 27th at 10:30 am at The Church of Saint Anthony Claret in Lakewood, NJ. Interment to follow at St. Mary of the Lake Cemetery.
