Josephine was born in Newark, NJ to the late Anthony Bongiovanni Sr. and Margaret.
She is survived by her 3 siblings; Anthony Jr. Bongiovanni, Robert Bongiovanni and Maggie Stephenson, sister in law; Jeannine, many nieces and nephews and extended family and friends.
Josephine spent her life helping others she was a nurse for many years. She enjoyed traveling, trips to the casinos and loved bingo.

A Visitation will be held at D'Elia Funeral Home on Sunday, July 21, 2024 from 3:00pm - 7:00pm located at 1300 Vermont Ave, Lakewood, NJ 08701. A Funeral Mass will take place on Monday July, 22 at 10:30 at St. Mary of the Lake Church; 43 Madison Ave, Lakewood, NJ 08701. Interment will follow at St. Mary of the Lake cemetery.
