John “Jack” B. Mulholland (85), passed away peacefully, in Deptford, NJ on Thursday, October 11, 2018; after fighting a courageous battle with cancer. He was born and raised in South Philadelphia along with his five brothers and one sister. Jack was a proud Veteran of the United States Navy, where he served honorably.
He was predeceased by his beloved parents, Joseph and Marie (nee Widener) Mulholland and his brother’s Joseph and James Mulholland. He is survived by one sister, Kathryn Dougherty, and three brothers, Francis, William (Brother Joe), and Robert (Alice) Mulholland. Jack is survived by 13 nieces and nephews, along with many great nieces and nephews, and great-great nieces and nephews.
Before retiring in 1994, Jack was a Pressman for the Philadelphia News Papers. After retirement, he worked for the MUA in Deptford, NJ where he met many friends. Being in his Deptford home for over 28 years, he was fortunate to gain neighbors that turned into close friends.
A visitation will be held at Boucher Funeral Home, 1757 Delsea Drive, Deptford NJ, on Tuesday, October 16th, 2018 from 7-9PM. Burial of cremains will be private.
In Lieu of flowers, memorable contributions may be made in Jack’s name to the Wounded Warrior Project or the American Cancer Society.
