John A. Lovato

John Anthony Lovato of Lakewood, NJ died peacefully surrounded by his loving children on September 5, 2011. He was born in NY, NY, grew up in West New York, NJ, raised his children in Woodcliff Lake and Lincroft retiring to Lakewood in 2000. John served his country in the Navy, following his service he graduated from Rider College. Upon graduation he joined American Cyanamid where he met his wife, Ruth . He concluded his career at Lease Plan USA. He was a parishioner at St. Mary of the Lake Church. Surviving are his six children: Two daughters and sons-in-law - Neva & Randy Hall of Dallas, TX & Diane & Ken Culbertson of Frisco, TX; four sons and daughters-in-law - John & Kathy Lovato of Oakridge, NC, Richard & Maureen Lovato of Lincroft, NJ, David and Amy Lovato of Westfield, NJ and Stephen and Patty Lovato of Howell, NJ; sixteen grandchildren - Jacqueline, Kimberly, Danielle, Brittany, Michelle, Jennifer, John, Kenny, Ricky, John III, David Austin, Colleen, Stephen, Lauren, Lindsay and David Heath. John devoted his life to his beloved wife Ruth, his 6 children and extended family. He had a passion for music, classical being his favorite. He was an avid NY Giants and Yankees fan. John was preceded in death by his wife Ruth and his parents Peter and Marie Lovato, his brother and sister-in-law Peter and Mary Lovato. Visitation will be 5:00- 8:00 Thursday at the D’Elia Funeral Home, Rte 70 & Vermont Ave., Lakewood, NJ 08701. His funeral mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. on Friday at St. Mary Of The Lake Church, 43 Madison Ave., Lakewood, NJ 08701. Entombment will follow in the Marlboro Memorial Cemetery.
