John was born on April 18, 1929 in New York NY and he was the son of the late Anthony and Jeanette Guglielmo. He joined the Army at 17 years old and served during World War II. He was raised in East Harlem, NY and was a longtime City resident until moving to Ridgefield , N.J. in 1971. After 35 years, he moved to Las Vegas, NV and later to Lakewood in 2013. Always the devoted family man, John was passionate about working and providing for his wife and children.
John was pre-deceased by his wife, Catherine Angelina Guglielmo and his son, Anthony Guglielmo.
He is survived by three children; Janet Guglielmo, John Guglielmo and Phyllis Guglielmo, three sisters; Fay Munafo, Ann Liguori, Lena Lovaglio, three brothers; Joe Guglielmo, Sal Guglielmo, and James Guglielmo; three grandchildren, John Guglielmo, Samantha Guglielmo, and Danielle Howell and many nieces and nephews.
A memorial visitation will be held from 2:00 p.m.to 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 30, 2022 at the D'Elia Funeral Home, 1300 Vermont Avenue, Lakewood, N.J. followed by a memorial service at 4:00 p.m. at the D'Elia Funeral Home. Cremation will be private.
