Dorothy Ann Obrien Chambers

Dorothy Ann Chambers, age 89, passed away Sunday, June 20th. She resided at 4 Seasons, in Lakewood, NJ.

Born in Jersey City, NJ; and raised in Union City, she lived in Oradell for many years before moving to Lakewood 12 years ago.

Dorothy loved St. Lukes Church, her friends, and was an avid reader. She worked for Bergenfield High School for 25 plus years and retired in 1994.

Predeceased by her husband Jack, of 52 years in 1996, her daughter Adrienne DeMott in 1985, a grandson Christopher in 1999, and a son-in-law Brad DeMott, in 2003. She is survived by her 2 sons Matthew and his wife Ellen of Aurora IL, Mark of Harrisburg, PA; 4 grandchildren Andrea, Maureen, Chrissie, Kellen, and 3 great grandchildren Katy, Sarah, and Matthew.

Visitation will be Thursday June 24th from 2 to 4pm and 6 to 8pm at the D’Elia Funeral Home, Hwy 70 & Vermont Ave., Lakewood, NJ.

Funeral services will be held Friday at 9:15 am in St. Lukes Roman Catholic Church, Toms River, NJ. Interment will follow at George Washington Memorial Park, Paramus, NJ.
