Seth Andrew Macchi

Seth Andrew Macchi was born on March 27, 1991, in Hinsdale, Illinois to a very loving family. Seth touched the world with his soul and his spirit. His infectious laugh drew people in. He meant so much to so many people and worked hard to create experiences for others that were meaningful.

Seth graduated from Washburn Rural High School in Topeka, KS and earned a bachelor of general studies from the University of Kansas. It was in his college years that his love of acting and entertaining grew, through his involvement in KU Theater, taking part in plays every semester while at KU. After college, he moved to Kansas City and pursued his acting career. He was a rising star in KC, performing in Improv Theater, the New Theater, and creating comedy with Friend Dog Studios.

Seth moved to Denver, CO in 2018 to be near his siblings. He loved his family fiercely. He created a community in Denver that brought him hope and love. Seth later worked at Snooze, an A.M. Eatery where he had a family of co-workers he deeply treasured. He had a love for anything Star Wars and Marvel which he shared with his family and especially his nephews. While Seth struggled with mental health and addiction, he found a home at Sophrosyne Sober Living where he developed deep relationships and received the support that helped him to stay sober for the entirety of his 32nd year, one of the best years of his adult life. On July 15, 2024, Seth passed away from an accident of addiction, and our lives will never be the same.

Seth is survived by his parents C.R. and Marti Macchi, his brother and sister-in-law Zachary and Katherine Macchi, his sister and brother-in-law Bethany and Brock Norwood, his two nephews Leland Macchi and Eli Macchi, and his niece Olivia Macchi.
