I know we weren’t the closest and we were really only friends through Kate, our glue, but I still find myself thinking of you all these months later. I remember when we were celebrating Kate’s 21st bday and we had a few too many at our first stop and couldn’t make it to the square so we went back to the house and made a “mini square/bar” for Kate to order drinks at and you of course were the bartender. We said we needed music and so you looked up “white girl playlist” and we LOVED it. You said “told ya” and we all died laughing. I literally enjoyed spending time with my best friend’s boyfriend so much we were all torn up when y’all didn’t end up working out. You are seriously one of the funniest, most gregarious, charming people I have ever met and I feel lucky I was able to get to know you. Still thinking about you and I know everyone else too. 

I’ll keep the good memories of you and all the wonderful times had by our families forever.  I’ll miss your big heart, big smile and big soul.   My deepest condolences to the entire family.  My love and support will always be there for you.  Rest in peace, Connor.

I don’t even know where to begin... Connor was a one in a million type of person. You don’t find men like him every where you turn. He had a natural gift of love, compassion, forgiveness, chivalry and just being an all around genuine being. I remember when my car broke down he gave me his truck.... I couldn’t argue with him about it. He made sure me and my daughter had a ride to wherever we had to be and he just had me drop him off wherever he had to go. Who does that?! Connor did...
He took care of the people he cared for, no questions asked. I can never thank him enough or repay him for his kindness and everything he’s taught me. He was a very bright light in a dark time in my life, I owe him so much. Although I was never able to tell this amazing man what he meant to me, I pray that he has heard me talking to him every single day. If I had one wish it wouldn’t be for all the money in the world or a fancy house with nice cars... it would be for one more day with him. And I’d make every minute count. Rest In Peace you big ol bear. But keep your snoring under control over there or you might get kicked out 💕

I worked with Michelle at DTM. I did not know Conner but did I do remember Michelle speaking of her son on a few occasions at work. I just wanted to offer my sincere condolences & my thoughts go out to the family of Conner at this difficult time.

I want to say how sorry we are to hear about the loss of Connor. Connor was such a nice young man. Even though my husband and I only spoke to him after  the Lake Travis Football games telling him what a great job he did during the games, he was always so polite. Connor and my son, Brandon #72 played the same position on the team and graduated together in 2013 from LT. They even shared the defensive end award at the end of the season at the awards ceremony.  We still have that picture of them together in a scrap book. Brandon was heart broken to hear the news of his passing as we all were.  A wonderful angel has been gained in heaven. Wish we were there to attend the services, it would be great to see all the boys together again for Connor. Like Brandon posted for Connor " Fly High #34".  
All of our thoughts and prayers are with Connor and all of his family at this time.

I have been reading all of the comments and posts about Connor.  All have basically the same sentiment, which is a testament to the type of person he is.  Connor was genuine in everything that he did.  He treated everyone with love, respect and kindness.  He was accepting and helpful to all.  His smile, personality and attitude were infectious.  He was smart, fun-loving, and committed to his strong family and friend bonds.  Connor was in my 8th grade Science class, and this class was special to all of us.  We felt like a big family, with much of that having to do with Connor's ability to unite people with his leadership and charisma.  I loved the glint of mischief in his eyes, and the happiness in his heart.  I enjoyed watching him and Macall flirt as I pretended to be annoyed.  I like to claim that their budding relationship started in my class. :)  He was a great student and an impactful leader.  I am honestly having a hard time with this, even though I haven't seen him in a few years, I can feel the void in my heart.  The last time I saw him, he gave me the biggest hug...he was good at that too.  Connor was a pleasure to teach and know, and I can assure everyone  that students like him don't sit in every seat.  I know I am supposed to celebrate his life, and I am trying, and I know the right things to do at times like these.  I am a school counselor now, but I just can't fathom this loss, and I am feeling shocked and angry.  My heart aches for his family and friends, and I pray that all of these wonderful memories will eventually bring some peace and comfort to them.  Please know he was loved immensely and we will all miss him.  On the positive side, my life is better by knowing him.  Connor, you left footprints on my heart and I will never be the same.  Godspeed, and I am glad to know that you have our backs. With Love and Sorrow.  (The picture is one that I received on facebook from him and Michelle about a year ago).

Our hearts are broken for Connor's family and friends after this tragic loss.   Michelle, John and Ella - you are so special to our family, we are lifting you up in prayer and sending all of our love your way.  

I can still remember the last time I had seen Conner.  He stepped up right beside me at Natalie’s volleyball game and when I turned to look, I can recall that big, bright smile he always had on his face. I’m so thankful I will always have that memory of him.  Over all the years we knew Conner, I cannot recall a time he was not smiling or laughing which was so addicting that you couldn’t help but smile and laugh as well.  During his college years, we would all get excited knowing Conner was going to break away from his college life and join us. He always brought joy and laughter to the group.  And all the kids just loved him.  After being at Ella’s house when Conner was still at home, Natalie would each time tell us that she wanted a big brother just like Conner and often said how lucky Ella was.  It was so obvious how close Ella and Conner were and that they adored each other.  And Michelle….I could see a twinkle in your eye when you looked at Conner.  You were so proud when you would talk about him to others who didn’t have the privilege of knowing him.  I know this will be one of the toughest times that you guys will have to go through.  We feel so blessed to have known Conner and even though this is a time of sorrow, a little comfort comes to our hearts and hopefully yours knowing that someday we will get to see that big smile once again.  Continuous prayers of comfort and peace go out to you; Michelle, Ella and John.    

We are heartbroken for Connor’s family.  Many prayers are being sent your way.   Connor was at our house a lot, as all the kids were, but we knew when he was in the house, as his exuberant laughter filled it.  May His Peace that passes all understanding be with you all.  

Sweet Connor........ It’s not the big memories like vacations together, holidays, prom gatherings, weddings, or graduation that resonate; it’s the simple ones. Forever, when I hear the song “Chicken Fried” I think of you belting it out. I remember you playing with your sister in the pool and playing hide and go seek with all of the kids at our river house. The kids all ADORED you! I remember our every Monday night Bachelor viewing gatherings and how excited you’d get about dinner, especially if it was Daryl’s fried eggs or pasta carbonara. I think I had you fooled into thinking I could cook! I remember line dancing together at Criders. Everyone keeps saying it, and it’s so true—— to know you was to love you, and you made us all better. I know you’re seeing, from Heaven, how loved you are and you’re rejoicing with your Grandma  and God. We will gather around and take care of your family as you would want and expect us to do.  Thank you for leaving your beautiful, loving mark on a world that can use more love!  Love, Leslie

Sweet Connor,  I am heartbroken over this loss.  I ache for your mom and dad and the rest of the family who is feeling absolutely broken.   I ache for sweet Ella.  You were the BEST big brother to her.  I ache for Macall, your first love.  Her family ADORED you.  My three girls adored you too.  You were so amazing with them and ALWAYS made them feel included in our family adventures when they were little.  You were a part of so many good memories with us.  You were laid back and kind and your smile was infectious.  The world lost a truly good person.  

There are several defining moments in life. Connor was in several of mine. Crushing on him gave me the ability to have butterflies for those I love. Falling for him showed me tenderness and vulnerability I still strive to show. Loving him, through ups and downs, taught me loyalty, forgiveness, and joy like none other. Growing up alongside him, from 7th grade into college, prepared me for life’s changes and personal discovery. 
Not a single day has gone by that his smile doesn’t cross my mind. Connor was not your typical “first love” to me. He was incredible, loyal, genuine, forgiving, hilarious, humble, talented, and he made me who I am today. Connor was one of a kind to all he met.  A piece of my heart is yours, Connor. Praying for all impacted by this loss. 

 I used to work with Connor at Mcadoos  and I would always remember Connor walking into the kitchen and saying steph  with this little smile that he always gave and I knew right away that he messed up on his order. I  would just laugh and say I got this I’ll fix it for you and he will put his hand on my shoulder and say thank you steph. I will always miss his smile and him saying steph for whenever he would missed up with an order or for when he would ask me about how I’m doing. 

To the Shannon/Segars family, our hearts are broken.  Connor was such a  kind , loving,  sweet and polite  young man. His smile lit up the room. I’m thankful that he and Anna became such close friends. Forever “The “Wolfpack” ❤️ . May you find  comfort in knowing how much  love people who knew Connor had for him. Love and memories eternal.

I could go on and on about the great memories I had with Connor. One of the funnest times we had was a group of us went down to S. Padre to his families house and it was 5 best friends all by ourselves in the guest house. The trip consisted of cold keystone light and playing different pranks on each other. One of the nights we decided to send it to a go kart course after the beach and us 5 did not listen the staff and we started playing bumper cars while racing and then had to stop the whole course and get us 5 out of there. It was all good clean fun and Connor always had the smile to get people happy. Those are the times I am going to miss with him and will continue to keep his family in my prayers. 

Connor you were definitely one of a kind, you were the best friend anyone could ever ask for. You accepted everyone for who they were and never judged a soul. You saw the good in everyone. I cherished every moment of our friendship, you were always there for me if I needed a shoulder to cry on, a friend to laugh with, a buddy to play pool with and most important you were my best friend. Heaven has gained the sweetest boy with the sweetest smile. Until next time you sweet angel💜 My prayers go out to the Segar’s and Shannon family and everyone that was blessed to be a part of his life.

To the Shannon family, I am so sorry for your devastating loss.  I am grateful that we find hope in that Connor is in the loving arms of His Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.   You are in my prayers.

From your first day at Hudson Bend when you didn’t quite know anyone, your caring spirit and infectious laugh was immediately evident. On the football field is where we truly created our bond. You were my bodyguard on that field. You played Right Tackle and I played Tailback and we both agreed that our favorite play was “Blue Cowboy T”. A simple counter play to the left, but I’ll never forget every time we heard that play called we would share a smile. You would pull to the left and all I had to do was follow you and watch as you leveled everyone in your path. It was like a movie watching you. From there we went to HS, and the good times continued. From lake days, to winning the state championship in football, to those much needed jam sessions in your car when you would give me a ride home after a long day at practice and school, the memories are endless. You invited me to my first ever concert and our conversations about music, sports, and life in general will always be a treasure in my heart. You always went out of your way to make sure people were smiling and that they felt like they meant something. As we left high school, our lives got busy and we hadn’t seen each other in a while, and now that you’re gone I wish that I would have reached out to see how you were doing. My heart is broken for your family. You deserved so much more from this life. 
Heaven has gained an incredible angel and you were truly a blessing in my life and I will never forget you my brother. 

Now it’s your turn to watch and I promise to hold it down for ya down here and level everything life puts in our way.

Our hearts are broken at the loss of Connor.
I will always remember his beautiful smile and his loving heart! His love for his family, especially his little sister Ella was like none other, and his love for life was contagious. 
My favorite memory is of all of us gathered at a Mexican restaurant in Round Rock. That day they had karaoke. Connor was about 9 years old and decided he was going to give it a go. He jumped on the stage and requested “Sweet Home Alabama” and sang to his hearts content! Totally out of key, but wholeheartedly!!! We all sat and cheered him on and reveled in his carefree spirit! 
We will miss you sweet boy, but we will never forget you!

Connor was one of the sweetest and most polite young adults we have ever known. We are so grateful for having known such a loving and wonderful person. He always lit up a room with his smile and personality. It was always so adorable seeing his interaction with his sister Ella. He will forever be missed but not forgotten. Conner was a great football mentor to my son Feno when he was moved up to Varsity as a Sophomore Defensive End.  Conner was patient, serious, & a great role model.  I saw a clear pattern as Michelle was one of the 1st football moms to show me the ropes and get me involved. Conner clearly had so much love poured into him by his family and given to him by his friends - the overflow of that love shined brightly with him. Rest In Peace Conner and my sincere condolences to the family.

Connor is survived by his father, Terence Shannon from Austin, TX; his mother and step father, Michelle and John Segars from Lakeway, TX; his sisters, Ella Segars and Lyndsey Cheek; his paternal grandparents, Virginia and Richard Shannon of San Antonio, TX, his maternal grandfather John Kerbow of Llano, TX and his step grandparents, AJ and Pearl Segars of Fort Worth, TX; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.  He was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Joyce Kerbow and his paternal uncle, Patrick Shannon.  May he rest now in heaven with his Grandma and Uncle Pat.
