Annabelle Perry Loyd, 90, went to be with Jesus on September 6, 2024. She was born in Bryan, Texas in 1933 to Dr. and Mrs. James Sidney Perry. Her first husband, Edward Harrison Smith, an Air Force Pilot, passed away in 1963. She taught elementary education and art for several years, eventually moving to San Antonio in the late 1970s. She was a longtime member of the First Presbyterian Church and became an accomplished artist and published author, traveling the world training and teaching murals, faux finishes, and trompe l'oeil painting. Annabelle was eternally optimistic, and she loved life and her family. She was active in many charitable organizations including Gardenia Club, the Assistance League, and Kappa Kappa Gamma Alumnae. She eventually married the second love of her life, Paul Loyd, Sr.
She is preceded in death by her parents, brother Sid Perry, son-in-law Bill Machuga, and her husbands. She is survived by her daughter Kathryn Machuga, daughter Polly Lines, son-in-law Marcus Lines, and grandchildren Perry and Harrison.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 12 at 2:00 PM at Weed-Corley-Fish Funeral Home (411 Ranch Rd 620 S., Lakeway, Texas, 78734).
