Robert "Bob" Pratt, 85, passed away peacefully at home on Oct. 9, 2014 surrounded by his family.
Bob was born in Springfield, Ohio on February 5, 1929 to Alfred and Jessie Pratt. At the age of nine the family moved to Lake Worth, FL where he later graduated from Lake Worth High School. Bob went on to serve his country in the Korean War, after which he returned to meet and marry Pearl, his wife of 60 years. Bob worked for the Village of Palm Springs, FL and retired as Public Service Director with 25 years of service. He was instrumental in water treatment capacity and quality improvements which led to a treatment facility being named in his honor. Upon his retirement, Bob and Pearl moved to a retirement community in Lake Wales, FL where he enjoyed golfing, playing cards and helping serve in his community. He will always be remembered for his wit and ability to "tell a good joke".
Bob is survived by his wife Pearl W. Pratt, children Lewis (Carin) Pratt, Linda Pratt Maness and grandchildren, Danielle Maness, Cory Pratt and Neal Pratt, and nieces and nephews.
