Kathleen "Kathy" Fuss, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on 10/06/2024 at the age of 87. Born on April 26, 1937, in Pittsburgh, PA, to Ruth Sunnuck and Bernard Grady, Kathy lived a life filled with love, family, and a deep connection to nature.

Kathy was first married to Francis B. Janaszek, with whom she had five children: John Janaszek, Barbara (Ralph) Schweihs, James (Aimee) Janaszek, Joseph (Colleen) Janaszek, and the late Jay (Diana) Janaszek. After her divorce from Fran she never stopped caring about him.

Kathy was a devoted mother and took immense joy in her ever-growing family. She was blessed with 9 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren (with one on the way), and two great-great-grandchildren, Scarlett and James. She is also survived by her loyal fur baby, Lilly, who was her cherished companion.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her son Jay Janaszek, her grandson Justin Janaszek, and great-grandson Shawny Lewandowski.

Kathy had a special love for the outdoors. Whether walking along the beach, exploring forest preserves, or basking in the warmth of the sun, she found peace in the natural world. She adored both sunrises and sunsets and found comfort in the sun’s warmth. Her love for animals extended beyond her pets; she loved hearing the birds sing and enjoyed feeding the birds and ducks around her home.
