Shirley Decker

Shirley Decker, age 87, of Ionia, Michigan formerly of Hastings passed away suddenly on Monday, March 4, 2024. Shirley was born on September 3, 1936 to Loren and Annie Myers in Hastings, MI. She graduated from Hastings High School in 1953. In 1955 Shirley married Wayne L. Decker and he survives. She worked for many years in the food services at Hastings High School. Shirley enjoyed traveling all over the country with her family, square dancing with Ringo Swingo, quilting, sewing and golfing. Shirley's favorite family trip was a cruise to Alaska. In retirement Wayne and Shirley enjoyed being snowbirds in Bushnell and later to Dade City, FL. The family along with friends and neighbors will miss her awesome cinnamon rolls.

Shirley leaves behind her husband Wayne, daughters Bonnie Decker, Linda Lancaster, Susan (Douglas) DeVries, along with many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, siblings Hugh Myers and Jean Raffler.

A Memorial Service will be held on Monday, March 11th, 2024 at 11am at Koops Funeral Chapel.
