Melvin C McCloud, age 82 years, of Lake Odessa, Michigan passed away on Monday, October 14, 2024 at Butterworth Hospital in Grand Rapids. Melvin was born to Jessie and Elsie (King) McCloud on February 3, 1942. He was a devoted family man who put his family first, enjoying many hobbies and interests especially farming and racing with his family. Melvin was also very community centered coaching youth sports and serving on the village council.
Melvin will be dearly missed by his children Sheri (Steve) Klotz, Ronald (Kari) McCloud, Salli McCloud, grandchildren Tena (Jordan), Jacob, Caleb (Kaccy),Marcus, Hayden (Lisa), Samantha (Angel) great-grandchildren Wray, Lucy and Ivy, along with many other family members.
Preceding Melvin in death are; parents, wife Sandy, daughter Susie and great granddaughter Charlotte and brother Bill McCloud.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 17th, 2024 at Koops Funeral Chapel from 5pm - 8pm in Lake Odessa, MI. Funeral Services will be held on October 18th, 2024 at Lakewood Community Church starting at 12 noon. Burial will take place immediately following the service in Lakeside Cemetery, Lake Odessa next his wife Sandy, daughter Susie and great-granddaughter Charlotte.
Donations in Melvin's name can be given to Lakewood Community Church.
