I love and miss you Uncle Ramsey and so glad I got to spend some time with you and Aunt Carolyn last year.  Wish I could’ve been there today with the family.


Oh benevolent one Mr. Ramsey sir! You will be so greatly missed. Those late night BBQs & fellowships were some of the best fellowships I ever had.  I met family I did not know I had. I will keep those family fellowships going even if I have to kidnap members to come so they will know their peoples.  I love you and I will miss you and I promise not to teach Nanny Caroline any of my new bad habits.

Ramsey and Carolyn lived next door to my parents house for many years on Lawrence St., which is now Pryce Street.  As kids, my brother Michael and I visited nearly everyday!  Ramsey would send us home when we got on his nerves (smile).  I also remember how Ramsey loved his Dallas Cowboys, Muhammad Ali and reading his Louis LaMour Western story books about The Sackets.  I truly miss those days. May God Bless my dear cousin, Carolyn, Lil Ramsey and Pop, as well as the rest of the Duhon Family. Much Love to everyone.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ramsey Sr. and Nola Duhon, paternal grandparents, Jullian and Julia Duhon, maternal grandparents, Jede' and Mary Pete.

Those left behind to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 50 years, Carolyn Duhon; brother, Larry Duhon, Sr. and wife, Joan; brother, Elder Allen Duhon and wife, Adelle; son, Ramsey Duhon III and wife, Amy; son, Randle Duhon and wife, Cinderella; grandsons, Ramsey Duhon IV, Randy Duhon, Reece Duhon, Zachery Duhon, Randle Duhon, Ramsis Duhon, granddaughters, Tiffany Nickerson, Rayvan Duhon, Chanisse Wilson, great-grandson, Josiah Nickerson; great-granddaughter, Joelle Nickerson; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
