Lorraine Guillory Hooks

She was born in Lake Charles and lived here all her life. She was a member of Our Lady Queen of Heaven Catholic Church. She enjoyed visiting at Villa Marie Retirement Center, was a co-founder of Mike Hooks Inc., a member of LA Quarter Horse Association, LA Thoroughbred breeders Association, and was a previous shareholder of Delta Downs. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister.

Survivors include her daughters, Linda Lorraine Hooks Robichaux of Brandon, MS and Kim Melinda Hooks McMahon of Westlake; grandchildren, Veronica Hooks, Stacey Robichaux, Ashley McMahon Kerns, Kevin Robichaux, Michael McMahon, Nicholas McMahon; 4 great grandchildren, Andi Bodin, Ryan Bodin, Ty Breaux, Peyton McMahon. She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Willie Guillory; husband, Mike Hooks; son, Tim Hooks; sister, Elaine Anderson; grandson, Timothy Hooks.

Her funeral will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, Februay 24, 2010 at Hixson Funeral Home of Lake Charles. Msgr. James Gaddy will officiate. Burial will be in Prien Memorial Park. Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday 9-11 a.m. A Rosary will be prayed Tuesday evening at 6 p.m. Words of comfort may be shared with the family at www.hixsonfuneralhomes.com
