Harvey Lee Myers

Westlake - Harvey Lee Myers, 64, went home to be with the Lord on March 31, 2014, from the comfort of his home surrounded by those he loved.

Born and raised in Lake Charles, he enjoyed watching Nascar, his favorite driver was #24, Jeff Gordon. Harvey was passionate about music; he played the Bass Guitar for his band BittrSuite. He enjoyed spoiling his youngest daughter and having his eldest daughter sing with him in his band. He was employed for Velocity Courier Service for 12 enjoyable years.

Those left to cherish his memory are his daughters, Anita Myers Quinn of Sulphur; Kisha Marie Myers of Westlake; sister, Ledral Simon and husband O.J of Lake Charles; one niece; Mary “Meme” Williams; one great nephew, Ethan Kyle Williams; grandchildren, Megan Jean, Kevin Michael, Jr. and Talen Jace; great grandchild, Trae; and his best friend of twelve years, April Clifton.

On behalf of the family we would like to give a special thanks to Kim Johnson and his “other girls,” Kristy Daigle and Melanie Garrard.

His service will be 11:00am, Friday, April 4, 2014 at Gateway Church of God. (1815 Sam Houston Jones Parkway, Lake Charles, La 70611) Rev. Richard Watson will officiate. Visitation will be Wednesday from 5:00pm until 9:00pm and resume Thursday from 10:00am until 9:00pm at Hixson Funeral Home of Lake Charles.
