Greta (Boudoin) Johnson

Greta Boudoin Johnson, 90, of Creole, passed away on Monday, August 17, 2020 at Lake Charles Memorial Hospital. She was born to her late parents, Pierre and Edith Boudoin on September 6, 1929 in Creole, LA.

She enjoyed praying the Rosary, cooking, and visiting with her family, whom she loved dearly.

She is survived by her son, Tony Johnson and wife Susan of Creole; daughter, Maureen Kahl and husband Don of Baton Rouge; two sisters, Sister Lurlie Boudoin, Adeline Styron; four grandchildren, Laurie Firmin (Chris), Kristopher Johnson (Kayla), Joseph "Tony" Johnson (Lauren), Andrew Brister; five great grandchildren; along with numerous nieces and nephews.

Greta is preceded in death by her parents; and her two brothers, Johnny Boudoin and J.P. Boudoin.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Christ the King Catholic Church in Lake Charles on Thursday, August 20, 2020, at 1:00pm, with Father Wayne LeBleu officiating. Visitation will be at Hixson Funeral Home of Lake Charles on Thursday, beginning at 10:00am until the procession to the church, with a Rosary at 11:00am. Burial will follow at Sacred Heart Cemetery in Creole. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the charity of your choice. Words of comfort may be shared with the family at www.jehixson.com.
