Elgine Rose (Hebert) Chaisson

Elgine Rose Chaisson, age 92, of Lake Charles, Louisiana passed away on Friday, July 12, 2024. She was born in Youngsville, Louisiana on October 4, 1931 to parents, Raoul Hebert & Lawrence Vincent. Elgine attended Fenton High School where she graduated as valedictorian in 1950. She attended St. Henry Catholic, and was a member of the Catholic Daughters.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Lee Roy Chaisson; her parents, Raoul Hebert & Lawrence Vincent; her siblings, Alvin James Hebert, Bobby Lee Hebert, and Mary Lou Habetz.

Those left to cherish her memory include her children, Darrel Chaisson and wife Gaynell of Lake Charles, LA, and Deborah Briley of Lake Charles, LA, 4 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandson.

The family will welcome the public for visitation at J. E. Hixson & Sons Funeral Home Tuesday, July 16, 2024 from 5pm until 9pm with a Cursillo rosary held at 7pm. Visitation will resume Wednesday, July 17, 2024 at 9am until 9:45am. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Henry Catholic Church at 10am officiated by Reverend Levi Thompson. Interment will follow at Our Lady of Seven Dolors Catholic Cemetery in Welsh, LA.
