Carolyn was a proud native and lifelong resident of Creole until Hurricane Rita changed everything. At the age of 17, Carolyn was able to make a trip to Washington D.C. and Quebec, Canada as a representative of Codifil French Immersion, part of her trip gave her the opportunity to personally meet President John F. Kennedy. A 1963 graduate of South Cameron High School, she dedicated her life to being a homemaker and caregiver. Her love for life was only surpassed by her deep devotion to her family. Carolyn had a passion for cooking, baking, dancing, and especially for the Cajun music that she cherished.
Those left to cherish her memory are her children, Tracy Broussard and husband David, Christopher Daniels and wife Jamie, Gabriel Daniels and wife Ramie and Joseph Delcambre and wife Betty Sue; 11 grandchildren, Sara, Allie, Wyatt, Cole, Jolie, Kain, Kade, Dylan, Kyle, Kade, Kael; two great grandchildren, Anson and Ella; sisters, Clarice LaFosse and husband Marshall and Kala Billedeaux and husband Gary.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ronnie Daniels; sister, Theresa Mudd; granddaughter, Kyla Delcambre.
The family will welcome relatives and friends at Hixson Funeral Home of Lake Charles on Monday, April 7, 2025 beginning at 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. with a rosary to be prayed at 6:00 p.m. Visitation will resume on Tuesday, April 8, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. in the funeral home followed burial at Highland Memory Gardens. The Msgr. Jace Eskind will officiate at the services.
