Barbara Jean (Norwood) Reeves

Barbara Jean (Norwood) Reeves, age 82, of Pitkin, Louisiana passed away peacefully in her home on Friday, October 25, 2024. Jean was born on Sunday, April 26, 1942 to Alton M. Norwood and Georgiana Carlin Norwood.

Jean also most affectionately known as "Granny" was patient, loving, soft spoken, and a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She enjoyed traveling but she especially loved spending time with her family.

Jean was preceded in death by a son, Charles Reeves, a great-grandson, Jeremyah McCallon, her parents, her brothers, Johnny, Floyd, Marvin, Grady, and Robert Norwood, and a sister, Kathy Norwood Craft.

Those left to cherish her memory are her husband of 64 years, Charles Thomas "Tommy" Reeves of Pitkin; sons, Henry, Floyd, and Marvin Reeves; grandchildren, April Reeves, Ashley Reeves, Emma Guidry, Mackenzie Green, Danielle Reeves, Morgan Reeves, Zachary Dauzat, Tasha Reeves, Jammie Reeves, Alyssa Reeves, Justin Gillard, Alexis Miller, Thomas Reeves, Anna Manuel; siblings, Dozle Norwood Cottinggin, Lily Norwood, George Norwood, Danny Norwood, Shirley Norwood Sliman, Clada Norwood Zimmerman, Bonnie Norwood Weir, Tan Norwood, and Reina Norwood, numerous great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Cremation was entrusted to Hixson Funeral Home. She will be laid to rest at a later date.
