She was born to the late Carl and Carolyn Sauer in Indianapolis, Indiana on May, 7, 1941.
Marty loved to help others. She volunteered in the school cafeteria, drove others to and from work and appointments, was a longtime volunteer at Shepherd Of The Valley, and volunteered in countless other ways.
She is preceded in death by her brother Tom Sauer and her step-son David Grissom.
Left to cherish the memory of Marty are her children: Diana Blaine (Steven), Glen Grissom (Amanda), Rita Davidson (Rodny), and Lori Himmelsbach (Eric) (step-daughter); siblings Edward Sauer and Jerri Eder; grandchildren Morgan Grissom, Christopher Grissom, Sierra Smith, Cameron Grissom, Brennan Blaine, Dayton Hampton, Gracie Hampton,Thomas Hampton, Jonathan Roberts, Katie Dixon, Kyle Blackwell and extended family and friends.
Mass will be held on Thursday October 5, 2023 at 11:00am. Friends and family are welcome.
