Lillian Bowen Powell

Lillian was a master quilter whose artistry brought joy to many. Her passion for quilting was matched only by her love for family, and she cherished every moment spent with them.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Millard "Hotshot" Powell; her brother, Victor Bowen; her sister, Marie Netherly; her half-brother, Ralph Bowen and her half-sisters, Ann Robinson and Sue Hall.

Lillian leaves behind a loving family that includes her children, James "Jim" Powell (Shirley) and Dorothy Hedges; her grandchildren, Dale Powell (Dena), Lisa Powell, Debbie Walker (Scott), Angie Gray (Jerry), and Brent Hedges (Sheri); along with 8 great-grandchildren, 6 great-great-grandchildren; half-brother, Damon Bowen; half-sister, Violet Bowen and a host of extended family and friends who will remember her fondly.

Lillian's warmth, creativity, and unwavering spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew her

A visitation for Lillian will be held Thursday, October 10, 2024 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Mt. Tabor United Methodist Church, 3301 W State Hwy 22, Crestwood, KY 40014 with a funeral service starting at 2:00 PM. Burial will follow at Mt. Tabor United Methodist Church Cemetery.
