Edwin “Flipper”, “Uncle Ray”Roberts, 90 passed away on October 5th. He served in the Air National Guard then worked and retired from General Electric as a shipping clerk. After his retirement he delivered cars for Tri-County Ford, a job he loved and talked of often. He was a lover of dogs, Corvettes, Lagrange and his family.
He was preceded in death by his parents Luke and Bessie Roberts, brothers Lyle Roberts, Leland Roberts, sisters Rubye Gehring, Ruth Steele, Audrey Hudson, Eloise Roberts and his twin sister Edna Fulkerson.
He is survived by many nieces and nephews who will continue to share memories and his stories. He is also survived by his dedicated caregivers, great niece Robin Stevenson, great great nephew Hunter Stevenson, Teresa Ault, Amy Simms and Sarah Desmore, and his loving dog Bear. These caregivers made it possible for Ray to stay at home with his precious Bear.
A visitation for Flipper will be held Saturday, October 12, 2024 from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Heady-Radcliffe Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 706 W Jefferson St, LaGrange, Kentucky. A committal service will occur Monday, October 14, 2024 at 2:00 PM at Oak Grove Baptist Church Cemetery, 6520 KY-1275, Monticello, Kentucky 42633.
