Vickie was born June 11, 1959 in LaGrange, GA, daughter of Frances Mae “Mosie” Williams Jones and the late Richard Jones. She was a long time member of Mountville Baptist Church and also at Davidson Baptist, she loved to hear and sing gospel music. Vickie was a homemaker, caring for the needs of her family, she enjoyed cooking and trying new recipes. She was always taking pictures, primarily of those grandbabies she loved so dear. Vickie had a heart for all kind animals, especially her dogs. She will be remembered for being a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her sister, Debra Garrettt and brother, Richard Douglas Jones.
Survivors include her mother, Frances Mae “Mosie” Williams Jones; loving husband of almost 45 years, Curran Grizzard; son, Jason Grizzard (Heather Doughtery); daughter, Kindall Grizzard (Ryan White); grandbabies, Mailey White, Huntley White, and Rynley White; sister, Rhonda and David Smith; brother, James “Tim” Carroll; niece, Shanda Lewis (Chris); great niece and nephew, Kadyn Lewis and Chris Lewis Jr.; nephew, Devin Smith; nephew, Adam & Lindsey Moman; great nephew, Karsen Moman; best friend of 51 years, Kathy H. Weathers; several other nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
The Gathering of Family and Friends will be Friday, May 14, 2021 from 5:00pm until 6:00pm at the funeral home. The Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be 6:00pm Friday, May 14, 2021 in the Striffler-Hamby Mortuary Chapel with Pastor Rodney Roquemore officiating.
