Tommy, as he was affectionately known, was born July 19, 1936 in Randolph County, AL to the late Oscar Hill and Ruby Jewell Palmer Hill. He retired from West Point Pepperell Lanett Mill and was a member of Congregational Holiness Pentecostal Church. He loved decorating for Christmas and sharing his displays with the community. Tommy enjoyed working on cars and going to car shows, but his greatest pleasure was taking care of his children. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Mavis Irene Huddleston; siblings, Betty Hill Willingham, Mary Helen Hill and J.W. Hill; and granddaughter, Amy Gregory.
Survivors include his children, Randy Hill, Venetia (James) Kittrell, Vickie (Dean) Kolb, and Mindy Burkett; grandchildren, Daina Collins, Richard Hill, Ryan Kittrell, Joshua Kittrell, Hannah Hilderbrand, Jared Burkett; brothers, Robert (Theresa) Hill and Riley T. (Jane) Hill; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
The Visitation will be Wednesday, July 28, 2021 from 10:00am until 11:00am at the funeral home. The Funeral Service will be 11:00am Wednesday, July 28, 2021 in the Striffler-Hamby Mortuary Chapel. Burial will follow in Resthaven Memorial Gardens.
