Thelma Illene Cook

Mrs. Cook was born August 31, 1943 in Danville, Illinois to the late Frederick Andrew Nipper and Thelma Irene Gilland Nipper. She was a former member of Oakside Baptist Church and enjoyed cooking and baking. Mrs. Cook loved her grandchildren and spending time with her family. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William Carey Cook; five brothers and six sisters.

Survivors include her sons, Greg Cook and Jeff Cook; five granddaughters, Kayla Cook, Macie Cook, Amber Cook, Sarah Cook, and Sabrina Cook; one grandson, Sean Cook; one sister, Betty Brown; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held 2:00pm Saturday, June 16, 2018 in the Chapel of Striffler-Hamby Mortuary with Rev. Neil Awbrey officiating. Entombment will follow in Restlawn Memory Gardens. The gathering of family and friends will be Friday, June 15, 2018 from 7:00pm until 9:00pm at the funeral home.
