Ressie Lee Smith Henderson

Mrs. Henderson was born September 22, 1922 in Randolph County, AL, daughter of the late Mark Oral Smith and Dovie Pauline Beck Smith. She was a member of Living Waters Baptist Church. Mrs. Henderson retired from Playtex, Inc. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Clifford Henderson.

Survivors include her daughters, Brenda and Charlie Morman of Cedartown, Sandra and Jackie Parr of Shady Dale, and Gail and Mike Neely of LaGrange; grandchildren, Teresa Lawson of Columbus, Joey Parr of Shady Dale, and T. J. Neely and Michael Neely, both of LaGrange; sisters, Essie Mae, Avis, Gertrude, Sara and Janice; five great-grandchildren; a brother, Mark, Jr.; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday, August 30, 2011 at Striffler-Hamby Mortuary, LaGrange Chapel with Rev. Lynn McClain and Rev. Michael Andrzejewski officiating. Burial will follow in Restlawn Memory Gardens.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 to 8 p.m. tonight (Monday)
