Jack was born June 16, 1937 in LaGrange, GA to the late Iris Morgan Estes and Addie Elizabeth Estes.
Jack was a local business owner who owned and operated Estes Grocery for more than 40 years and Estes Tree Service for over 50 years both in the LaGrange, Troup County area. He was well known and a beloved community member.
He is survived by his daughter, Jackie (Jerry) Coggins; grandchildren, Tim (Kristi) Coggins, Terry (Antje) Coggins and Wendi (Rusty) Bailey; great-grandchildren, Dalton Coggins, Hunter Coggins, Gage Coggins, Bennet Coggins, Finley Coggins, Sturgis Messer and Savannah Messer; special family friend, Faye Mulkey.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Lois Bowen Estes.
A Memorial Service will be held 3:00 P.M Tuesday, February 15, 2022 in the Chapel of Striffler-Hamby Mortuary. The gathering of family and friends will be held Tuesday prior to the service from 2:00 P.M. to 3:00 P.M.
