Mary C. McCurry

Ms. McCurry was born August 4, 1932 in LaGrange, GA to the late George Frank Ogletree and Mary Emma Wilson Ogletree.

Ms. McCurry spent her younger years in LaGrange before calling Griffin GA her home approximately 45 years ago. She worked in a variety of jobs before her retirement and upon her retirement she started her own business. She worked doing what she loved until age 83.

In addition to her parents, Ms. McCurry was preceded in death by her son Wilson McCurry; brothers, William Ogletree, George Ogletree and Chris Ogletree; daughters-in-law, Becky McCurry and Donna McCurry and her nephew Dana Ogletree.

She is survived by her sons Samuel McCurry and Ray Shipman Jr.; daughter, Debra McCurry; brothers, David Ogletree, Kenneth Ogletree, Tommy Ogletree, Randy Ogletree and Joey Ogletree; sisters, Ann Daniel and Wanda James; grandchildren, Todd McCurry, Kelly McCurry, Jeff McCurry, Tracy McCurry, Tim Shipman, Desiree Pressley, Kim Larson and Stacey Bramlett; 18 great-grandchildren; 3 great great-grandchildren and numerous Nieces, Nephews, Cousins and Friends.

A Gathering of Family and Friends will be held Saturday, September 15 2018 from 11:30 am to 1:00 pm in the Chapel of Striffler-Hamby Mortuary in LaGrange GA. The Funeral Service will begin at 1:00 pm with the burial immediately following the service at Shadowlawn Cemetery in LaGrange.
