Mrs. Blakley was born April 27, 1946 in Meriwether County, GA daughter of the late William Ray Barber and Mary Hazel Shelton Barber. She attended the Spirit-Filled Ministries and was a Waitress a number of years. She loved her family and spending time with them. Her greatest hobbies included traveling and shopping. Mrs. Blakley enjoyed the casinos and was nick-named “High Roller” when she increased her penny bet to a nickel. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Billy Dean Blakley; grandsons, Willie Ray Blakley and Daniel Ray Blakley; daughter-in-law, Sherry Blakley; sister, Bobbie Rice; great great granddaughter, Olivia Daniels.
Survivors include her children, Linda “Missie” (Jim) Kennedy, Chuck Blakley, Donnie (Michelle) Blakley, Travis (Telesa) Blakley, and Tim “Dick” (Angel) Blakley; 10 grandchildren; several great grandchildren; sister, Nan Ingram; other relatives and friends.
The Celebration of Life will be Tuesday, May 30, 2023 at 2:00pm in the Striffler-Hamby Chapel with Pastor Terry Smay officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00pm until service time. Entombment will follow in Restlawn Memory Gardens.
