Gary was born August 16, 1950 in LaGrange, GA to the late Lee Joseph Robinson and Katherine Scarborough Robinson. He retired from Georgia Pacific in the maintenance department and proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. Gary was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed fishing and hunting as often as possible. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Cary Robinson; sons, David Robinson and Gary Robinson, Jr.; and infant daughter, Brenda Jo Robinson.
Left to cherish his memory are his daughter, Kimberly Rowlett; grandchildren, Ethan Rowlett, Emily Rowlett, Cassidy Robinson, Caleb Robinson, Destaney Rader, and Dustin Robinson; several great grandchildren, close cousins, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
The Funeral Service will be Friday, July 26, 2019 at 11:00am in the Chapel of Striffler-Hamby Mortuary with Rev. Mike Gay officiating. Burial will follow in Meadoway Gardens. The family will receive friends 10:00am Friday, July 26, 2019 prior to the service at the funeral home. The family will gather at the home of his daughter, Kimberly.
