Curtis J. Crenshaw

Mr. Crenshaw was born March 9, 1933 in West Point, GA, son of the late Dence L. Crenshaw and Gladys Eunice Crenshaw. He was a member of Franklin Road Baptist Church and the Antique Car Club of West Georgia. Mr. Crenshaw was an avid fisherman, gardener, and enjoyed bird watching. Mr. Crenshaw was employed with Life of Georgia Insurance Company for 42 years during which time he received the Knight of the Million Dollar Round Table Award. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Mary Pittman Crenshaw, and a daughter, Rita Diane Crenshaw.

Survivors include his wife, Myra T. Crenshaw of LaGrange; daughters, Sherry Barnes and her husband Donnie of Pine Mountain, GA and Gail Patterson and her husband Tim of Franklin, GA; step daughter, Barbara Tyler of Columbus; grandchildren, Jerome Arrington and his wife Chasity of Franklin, GA, Alesha Hernandez and her husband Luis of Franklin, GA, Alexis Scott and her husband Clint of Carrollton, GA, Matt Barnes and his wife Jill of Marietta, GA, and Valerie Daniel and her husband Justin of Newnan, GA; great grandchildren, Abigail Barnes, Adam Mallard, Eli Padgett, Dylan Arrington, Dalton Arrington, Gavin Daniel, and Reagan Daniel; and one sister, Virginia Pittman of Newnan, GA.

Funeral services will be held 3:00 P.M. Sunday, October 6, 2013 in the Chapel of Striffler-Hamby Mortuary with Reverend Andy Buchanan and Reverend Frank Sledge officiating. Burial will follow in Shadowlawn Cemetery. The gathering of family and friends will be Saturday evening from 5:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers the family requests contributions be made to the Alzheimer’s Association or West Georgia Hospice in memory of Mr. Curtis J. Crenshaw.
