Barbara was born January 15, 1936 in LaGrange, GA, daughter of the late Leon Gordon Bledsoe and Edna Inez Levens Bledsoe. After several years, she retired from Crawford Center as an instructor. Barbara was a faithful member of Callaway Baptist Church, where she actively served in different capacities in her earlier years. She was devoted to her two daughters and her late husband, Albert F. Gray. Barbara loved to cook and will be remembered as being very social and a loving care taker. In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Vickie Gray and two brothers, Edward Bledsoe and Larry Bledsoe.
Survivors include her daughter, Karen Gray; brother, W.C. (Elvie) Bledsoe; several nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
The Celebration of Life Service will be 3:00pm Friday, November 25, 2022 in the Striffler-Hamby Mortuary Chapel with Rev. Brad Thompson and Rev. Chuck Redmond officiating. The family will receive friends from 2:00pm until service time. Entombment will follow in the Shadowlawn Cemetery Mausoleum.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Callaway Baptist Church or Wellstar West Georgia Hospice in memory of Barbara B. Gray.
