Anna Yancey

Mrs. Yancey was born February 14, 1920 in Telfair County, GA, daughter of the late Robert Carlton Holland and Nellie Rose Staples Holland. She was a member of Sunnyside Baptist church and was retired from West Point Pepperell, Dixie Mill Division after 33 years of service. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, George Leonard Yancey and a son, Bennie Yancey.

Survivors family member include a son, Johnnie (Caryl) Yancey of Fairview Heights, IL; daughter-in-law, Betty Jane Yancey of Geneva, GA; daughter, Dale (Roy) Reason of LaGrange; son, Jerry (Elaine) Yancey of LaGrange; 11 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; and 11 great great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held 12:00 noon, Wednesday, May 8, 2013 at Sunnyside Baptist Church with Reverend Robert Burnett and Reverend S. T. Janney officiating. Burial will follow in Restlawn Memory Gardens. The gathering of family and friends will be Tuesday evening from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
