He is preceded in death by his grandmother Ma. De Jesus R. Garcia, uncles Rodolfo "Rudy" Garcia and Macario Rendon.
Octavio was born on July 19, 1962 in Athens, Texas. He attended Harlingen High School and was a proud member of the Harlingen Cardinals. "Big Red" Marching band, who at the time participated in the Rose Bowl Parade in Pasadena, California in 1981.
Octavio was a humerous, polite, caring individual with an infectious smile. He loved his family, music, history, all animals, and enjoyed taking pictures of his loved ones. He was an incredibly talented bass player and vocalist. Over the years he played many venues, clubs and events all over the RGV., with his band "WORX", he played with "4Known" along with numerous local bands and musicians.
He was employed by TSTC for over 22 years.
Octavio is survived by his parents Santiago and Maria Elena Rendon, his sister Leticia(Rolando)Sanchez, his brother Carlos(Imelda Salinas)Rendon, his loving girlfriend Anita Limas, nephews Correy D. Rendon, Jacob D. Rendon, Joshua D. Rendon, niece Alexis(Manuel)Garcia, his great niece Anastasia Garcia, his beloved cousin Frank Garcia, numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
Visitation will take place on Thursday, September 24, 2020 from 5 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., rosary at 7:00 p.m. at Heavenly Grace Funeral Home, 26873 N. White Ranch, La Feria, Texas 78559. No burial service will take place.
