She is preceded in death by her husband Juan R. “Johnny” Martinez, her daughter Bonnie Martinez, fraternal twin brother Pedro Buenrostro, late parents Genaro and Guadalupe S. Martinez, her sister Ofelia Camacho, Esmeralda Chavez, brothers Jesus Martinez, Hildo Martinez, and Gelicerio Martinez.
Lupita will be honored and remembered as a strong woman of Catholic faith and her hardworking beliefs and integrity. She was a loving and caring daughter, wife, mother, sister, aunt, grandmother and great grandmother and a friend to many. She was known for her generous heart, beautiful smile, love of living as pediatric nurse, military wife, passion for gardening and sewing and crocheting and love of her dogs. Mom had such a positive view in life and compassion for others in need. She will also be known for her dedication and member at Our Lady of Guadalupe in Austin Texas.
She is survived by her daughters Nina Martinez, Melva Martinez-Huerta, Sonya Guerra; sisters Carmen Hudgins, Belen Sanchez Leos and Maria Pazienza; her brother Filimon Sanchez, and grandchildren Stephanie Guerra, Nicole Guerra, Perrin Rich-Martinez, Medea Rich-Martinez and Jon Roman Huerta and great grandchildren Audrey Nicole Vargas and Mila Grace Vargas and many nieces and nephews.

Rosary and Chapel Services will be at Heavenly Grace Chapel at 26873 White Ranch Rd in La Feria at 1:00p on Tuesday December 19, 2023 by the St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church Santa Monica’s and prayer with Deacon Jose Gonzalez followed by burial at 4:00pm.
