Graciela's vibrant spirit touched everyone she met through her passions and her caring heart. She was a dedicated nurse at Valley Baptist MC for many years, Graciela's compassion made a lasting impact on countless lives.
Outside of her professional life, she found joy in her garden, where she nurtured both her flowers and friendships. Her hands were not only skilled in gardening, but in sewinging; she crafted many cherished treasures.
Graciela's love for life extended to the dance floor, where she embraced every opportunity to twirl and sway, and to the kitchen, where her baking filled homes with warmth and delicious aromas.
Her volunteer work reflected her deep commitment to her community, always giving her time and energy to causes she cared about.
Graciela is survived by her children Belinda Garcia (Hugo); Jesse Chapa (Keta); and Santos Chapa (Krista); her sister Viola A. Santiago; her grandchildren Kassandra, Jon, Krystle, Nick, Victoria, EJ, Noah, Erika, Briana, Santos II, Kaylyn, her great-grandchildren Kennedy, Alejandro, Anamarie, Camila, Elyssandra and Julian.
Graciela was preceded in death by her husband Jesus Chapa; her daughter Elizabeth Noemi Chapa; her mother Hortencia Alvarez; her sister Consuelo "Chelo" Castillo; her brothers Oscar Villalon Sr. and Jose Maria "Chema" Villalon Sr..
A visitation for Graciela will be held Wednesday, August 28, 2024 from 3:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a recitation of the Holy Rosary at 7:00 p.m. at Heavenly Grace Funeral Home, 26873 N. White Ranch Road, La Feria, TX 78559. A funeral mass will occur Thursday, August 29, 2024 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Saint Theresa Catholic Church, 1300 Combes St, San Benito, Texas 78586. Services will conclude at the church.
